Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

Seems strange to think that no matter the intention, there is not possibly anyway you could follow all rules. I mean, allegedly, I jaywalk, park illegally and even drive without insurance.

None of these are intentional, you’re just inclined to do things out of human nature that the law might require you to do differently, if at all. My human nature seems to be against the law at times, and yet I’ve never been arrested.

Perhaps the days of legal crucifixion are bygones while the social court of prosecution rises. I know that personal opinions are picked at more frequently nowadays, far more than they were when I was younger. It seems like after I hit my mid-20s era, I started to realise just how unhinged the expectation for everyone to agree with you is.

Perhaps we’re all guilty of this unintentionally broken law one way or another. Whether you are in possession of an unpopular opinion or going against the grain, choosing to believe in our dreams and pursue them.

Perhaps we are all victims of the rigid limitations of the normal world. People following their normal careers, pursuing managerial positions in companies where we think and write.

Perhaps we all unintentionally break as many laws as possible in pursuit of ourselves and our happiness. Perhaps that’s the only way to achieve true self-actualisation.
